3 Days and 2 Night
3 Day Trek / Colca Canyon
This trip is ideal for tourists who enjoy walking and who have intermediate physical condition. On this tour, tourists will be able to enjoy the unique geography of the Colca Canyon, visit the towns, and at the same time, appreciate their different cultures. During the journey, you can also observe the wildlife of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.

Day 1: The tourist bus will pick you up from your respective hotels between 03:00 am – 03:40 am. After 3 hours of drive, we will stop at the city of Chivay (Capital of the Province), where we will take our breakfast, afterward, we will continue our journey towards the Cruz del Condor. At the Cruz del Condor, we will stay there for about 45 minutes to enjoy the fabulous flight of the condors and the canyon and then continue our tour to the town of Cabanaconde located at 3,287 meters above sea level. We will arrive at CABANACONDE at 9:30 a.m. At this point we will get ready to start our walk to the SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO valley for approximately 3 hours, at the valley we will have lunch, and after lunch we will be able to see plants from the area such as fruit trees and medicinal plants. For the night we will have dinner and spend the first night of accommodation.
Thus, on our first day, we will leave Arequipa to Cabanaconde by bus for about 5 hours, and then descend for about 3 hours from Cabanaconde to the San Juan De Chuccho valley.
Day 2: In the San Juan valley, we will have our breakfast at the time agreed with our guide, to later continue our tour trekking through the depths of the Canyon for about 3 hours, on our journey we will visit the towns of Cosñirhua and Malata to later reach the OASIS of SANGALLE, at the Oasis we will have our lunch, and then enjoy the exotic swimming pool, and at night we will have our dinner, and spend the second night at the Oasis.
Thus, on the second day, you walk for about 3 hours from the San Juan De Chuccho valley to the Oasis of Sangalle.
Day 3: Previously coordinated with our tour guide, we will wake up at 4:45 am and start our journey back to Cabanaconde for about 3 hours of ascent. Upon arrival, we will have breakfast at the agreed restaurant. After breakfast, we will return to the town of Chivay, making some stops at:
1) Viewpoint of Antahuilque, where we will appreciate the pre-Inca terraces and the valley of the Colca.
2) Town of Maca where we can appreciate the colonial church, take photos with domesticated eagles and camelids. You will also be able to buy Colca crafts and try the Colca sour drink, made from Sancayo (exotic fruit) from cactus.
3) At the town of Yanque you will be able to enjoy the hot springs, where you can enjoy its relaxing waters which is located under the Inca Bridge next to the Colca Canyon.
Continuing with our tour, we will arrive at the town of Chivay where we will have our lunch, after our lunch we will head towards the city of Arequipa, making the following stops along the way:
1) Volcanoes viewpoint, where we can appreciate the SANBANCAYA volcano that is currently active, HUALCAHUALCA, AMPATO, MISTI, and CHACHANI volcanos.
2) At the National Reserve of Salinas and Agua Blanca, we can appreciate the wildlife (vicunas, llamas, alpacas, birds, and others).
Continuing with our tour, we will arrive in Arequipa at approximately 5:00 pm. This is how we will end this fascinating adventure in the Colca. The drop off location will be two blocks away from the main square. End of service.

– In this tour instead of returning to Arequipa, it is possible to take a tourist bus from Chivay (Colca) to Puno; this transfer can be booked by email once your tour has been confirmed, this transfer has an additional cost.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
– Changes or cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours in advance.
– Cancellations made after 48 hours; a 25% penalty will be charged for administrative expenses.
– In the case of NO SHOW, 50 % of the tour payment will be charged.
