Pickup from your hotel by tourist vehicle between 6:00 and 6:20 a.m., and then head toward the Salinas lagoon.
During the tour, we will stop at the Chiguata viewpoint, from where we will enjoy the view of the pre-Inca terraces and the panoramic view of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichupichu volcanoes. We will continue the tour and stop at the Queñuas Forest at 3,800 meters above sea level, where we will have a beautiful view of the volcanoes and the forest of these beautiful trees that grow at high altitudes. Continuing, we will also stop at Simbral Hill, from this point we have a very beautiful view of the city of Arequipa. We will continue and arrive in Salinas at approximately 8:00 a.m. Here we will have breakfast for approximately 30 minutes. After breakfast, we’ll take a tour to observe South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. We’ll then head to a hot springs site and from there, hike around the lagoon to enjoy the views, surrounded by salt flats and its bodies of water. The salt flats are only accessible from May to mid-December; from mid-December to April, it’s the rainy season. During this rainy season, you’ll only enjoy the lagoon and its bodies of water. We’ll also enjoy the lagoon’s viewpoint, so you can take beautiful photos of the area. We’ll spend two to two and a half hours at the Salinas lagoon. We’ll then return to Arequipa.
